We strive to bring you the most talented and noteworthy guest speakers at every Film Retreat. Industry professionals who bring their vast professional experience to our hands-on workshops. Here are a few who have interacted with our students at recent TFI camps:


Alex Kendrick

Director of War Room, Kendrick is an ordained minister and New York Times best-selling coauthor of "The Love Dare", and "The Resolution for Men." He is also an accomplished actor, screenwriter, and


 film director, whose credits include War Room, Facing the Giants, Fireproof, and Courageous.  Alex Kendrick is one of the most celebrated and successful Christian filmmakers in America.



Gerald R. Molen

In his epic 40+ year career, this Oscar-winning filmmaker has produced 5 Spielberg-directed movies (Hook, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Minority Report) and dozens of other great projects, including the recent mega-blockbuster, The Meg.




Karen Covell

Karen is a producer, co-owner of Joint Effort – a film production company, and co-owner with her husband Jim, of JC Productions – a music production company. Founding Director of the Hollywood Prayer Network, she is also a published co-author of two books.



Tom Allen

Co-founder and co-director of Allied’s Faith & Family division, Allen is an award-winning filmmaker (Champions of Faith), bestselling author ("A Guide to The Passion"), and industry leader in Faith & Family promotion through churches, dioceses, nonprofit associations, educational and organizations. He co-founded and managed American Family Media, and financing for The Passion of The Christ. His highly specialized market and marketing focus have made him a true innovator in the field of faith-based film marketing.



Dave Christiano

Christiano received his Master's Degree and then taught two years at San Antonio College in Texas. He began his filmmaking career as a writer, producer, director of his first film, The Daylight Zone.

Dave produced and directed the first-ever primetime Christian drama series in the history of broadcasting, and then went on to complete 64 episodes over three seasons.
