TFI offers Three Unique Programs

Each program is designed as an immersion course where students start out in the classroom and end up on a film set as part of the TFI Studio development program. This is a unique opportunity for Christian filmmakers and potential Christian filmmakers to experience and learn the basics and all that goes into producing film while actually making original film content.

Independent Filmmakers One Year Fast Track Program. This is our most comprehensive program intended to Fast Track the student into professional Redemptive filmmaking in one year. Each student will have a lesson plan designed especially for them by our staff. The uniquely designed program will combine academic study and practical filmmaking application in each one year program. We will also set each student up with a professional internship after the program is completed. A one-year comprehensive program for Redemptive Film Students who desire to make Redemptive Filmmaking a career goal.

Independent Filmmakers Week -Spark Week  A very intense week-long study of film production where students will have a combination of classroom study and practical work assignments with professional film staff. Classes include acting, directing, cinematography, screenwriting, and film sound. TFI professors will select 2 or 3 scripts written by students in the class, to produce several short film projects for the week.

Independent Filmmakers Weekend, we call Light Club Weekend, held at your local church! The weekend course is an extension of the TFI program where our staff comes to your local church to spark the art of filmmaking as a ministry.

The purpose of this weekend experience is to create a Redemptive film club at the local church level. Film clubs have the support of TFI and are encouraged to produce short films, sermon support films etc.

TFI offers two tracks of study; novice track and skilled track. To be considered for the skilled track, applicants will need to show proven experience in film/video production work.

TFI is a one of a kind learning opportunity designed to bring IMAGE MAKERS who have a calling in the visual arts together. The camaraderie, sense of community and purpose; which results from the collaborative work on film and television is a highly rewarding way to create visual art. TFI exists to pass on both the insight and the technique necessary to make a quality film or television show from start to finish.

The TFI team believes the conservatory model provides the optimum setting for craft masters to come alongside promising novices and guide them in the skills, the artistic reasoning, and the creative justification, to communicate through a digital art form.
